The Times...They Are A Changin'

Sorry for no updates for awhile. I've been super busy with school & a little class from Hades called Microbiology. Man, is it a tough class. Glad it will be over this week on Friday, but not excited about the cumulative Shelf Exam we get to take on Friday. We'll see how that goes. Sydney has been equally busy, as she is taking over the dog walking business that she is working for, as her boss is getting a different job. It's been a lot of work, but should be exciting for Syd.

In recent news, we got a new car over the summer and parted ways with our beloved Honda, Rober the Bruce. He was a great car, but we decided to upgrade.
We've decided to return to my Swedish roots & drive a Volvo! We love it & I've already gotten some quality time with it changing brakes & parts & such! So much fun. We love it, since it's got serious sex appeal & I installed a 3rd row rear facing seat in the back.

Now you see it.
Now you don't.
Great for hauling around Young Men.

Other interesting happenings. After my last Micro test, Syd & I finished a project we've been wanting to do for awhile. We made a bench for our table so we can have lots of people over. Previously we only had 4 chairs which made it tough. This ups our seating capacity to 7. All made by Sydney and Josh craftsmanship & carpentry skills. I think we did a pretty good job!
Fizgig approves!

Also, while Sydney was away in Utah attending Mindy and Perry's wedding, I started a surprise project for her. We had been talking about getting her a moped to do dog walks with in order to save money on gas & have a 2nd mode of transportation (now that the motorcycle is gone, a story for another post). Have any of you seen Overhaulin'? It's a TLC show where they pretend to steal someone's car & then fix it up all sweet & surprise them. I pretended it was like that for Sydney, although I'm not as professional & didn't get it all finished before she got back. (I only had 4 days.) Either way, here is a picture of what I started with.

And this is the restoration so far. Still waiting on some parts to come in the mail, but should have it all together by the weekend! Yehaw!
That's right! Check out that paint job! First time I've ever tried that & I think it turned out pretty good! Not to mention Sydney's favorite color. All just a couple of cans of spray paint from Lowe's. It's all in the technique.

She'll definitely be topping out over 25 mph once I put on the new exhaust. Yeah...behold it's glory.
D0n't worry, we'll definitely be posting a video of it's maiden voyage & some pictures of the finished product. Hopefully it won't result in a major fail!

Well, that's all for now folks. Hope you enjoy. Sorry it's laiden with purchases & projects. That's pretty much what we do around here. Mixed in with a lot of studying.
